Anna Bozano e Marcello Cambi scoprono il magnifico borgo di Castelvecchio di Rocca Barbena negli anni 70, ristrutturano una casa e decidono di passarci le vacanze estive degli anni seguenti. Marcello, di professione antiquario di origini fiorentine, non poteva infatti restare insensibile a quel posto ricco di storia ed ancora incontaminato. Nella seconda metà degli ani 90, parallelamente alla nascita della Cambi Casa d’aste a Genova, attività prevalente della famiglia CAMBI che vede impegnati anche i tre figli Matteo, Sebastian e Giulio, decidono di aprire un hotel di charme che verrà gestito da Anna, che lo tiene aperto regolarmente da metà Aprile alla fine di ottobre. L’amore per il posto, la sensibilità artistica dei proprietari unito ad un’innato senso dell’ospitalità, faranno negli anni seguenti di casa Cambi un indimenticabile soggiorno per centinaia di ospiti. Non si tratta solo di mangiare e dormire in un albergo ma di un’esperienza che spesso viene ricordata per anni. Casa Cambi infatti vuole rompere le rigide e fredde regole dell’hotel per instaurare con i propri ospiti un rapporto familiare nel quale chi arriva non è un cliente che si vuole soddisfare ma un ospite al quale si vuol dare la miglior accoglienza possibile.

Anna Bozano and Marcello Cambi discovered this beautiful small village in the 1970s; they restored a house and decided to spend their summer vacations there during the following years. Marcello, an antique dealer from Florence, couldn’t remain indifferent to that place rich in history and still untouched by modernity. In the second half of the 1990s, together with the creation of the Cambi Casa d’Aste (Auction house) in Genoa, the main activity of the CAMBI family which involves also their sons Matteo, Sebastian and Giulio, Marcello and Anna decided to open a hotel that will be managed by Anna, who keeps it open from half April until the end of October. The love for the place, the owners’ artistic sensibility together with an innate hospitality sense made, in the following years, an unforgettable stay for hundreds of guests. It is not only eating and sleeping in a hotel, but also an experience which cannot be forgotten for many years. Casa Cambi, in facts, aims at breaking the rigid and cold rules of the hotels in order to establish a familiar relationship with its guests so that the people who come here are not simply clients to be satisfied but guests who have to receive the best welcome possible.
